What do you like best about Airship?

The Product team at Airship has been very proactive in engaging with us and gathering product improvement ideas. They are responsive, open to feedback, and eager to collaborate. What do you dislike about Airship?

Working with Airship is mostly inefficient and time-consuming. The tool is unintuitive, with poor UX/UI, frequent errors, and long delays (e.g., test emails taking up to 15 minutes, segmentation loading very slowly). Multichannel retargeting is practically non-existent, making it difficult to run integrated campaigns. Many processes require workarounds, and nothing feels smooth or reliable. Support ticket resolutions can take days or weeks, and for complex issues the recommendation is often to hire a TAM—despite the tool itself not functioning properly. Overall, it makes even simple tasks unnecessarily difficult and wastes significant time.

Only consider this tool if you would genuinely prefer creating promotional materials in Microsoft Paint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Airship?

As a developer, I really like Airship because it makes my job easier and more effective. It’s intuitive, so I’m not constantly fighting the tool, and it scales effortlessly, no matter how big the workload gets. Implementation is a breeze, everything just WORKS, without a ton of extra setup or troubleshooting. But what really stands out to me is how its channels ensure we can reach our customers exactly where they are in the app, with multiple ways to engage them seamlessly. Instead of spending time figuring out the logistics of message delivery, I can focus on crafting the right message and making meaningful connections, which is really what we're all after!

On top of that, the support from the Airship team has been outstanding. Emily and Mikey, in particular, have been incredibly helpful, always responsive, and truly invested in making sure we get the most out of the platform. They facilitate our relationship flawlessly, making it easy to collaborate and ensuring we have everything we need to succeed. It’s rare to find a tool that’s not only powerful but also backed by a team that genuinely cares, and that’s a huge part of why I enjoy working with Airship! What do you dislike about Airship?

While continuous product improvements are beneficial, they also create a constant learning curve for developers using the tool. The frequent updates make it challenging to stay on top of new features, often leading to underutilization of its full potential. What do you like best about Airship?

We've been using Airship AXP for our mobile app. The console is user-friendly, making it easy for our team to navigate and manage our app's features efficiently. Its quick to onboard new users.

Compared to other SDKs, the documentation for Airship is very good with plenty of code samples and imagery to guide you through.

We get good support from our account managers based regionally in Singapore and also in the US.

Overall, Airship AXP has proven to be a reliable and versatile platform that has significantly contributed to the success of our app, especially in growing our monthly active users and engagement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Airship?

A minor quibble is the occasional lag in loading the console, but this is a rare occurrence and doesn't significantly impact our workflow.

"Despite a few shortcomings, a robust tool for user engagement."
What do you like best about Airship?

1. Ability to handle and deliver the communications (Emails, Pushes, Inapps) to a huge data set.

2. The feature of sending pushes to a user's optimal time.

3. Pretty simple process of designing, implementing, and sending pushes and inapps.

What do you dislike about Airship?

1. There's a lot of room for improvement how customer support handles the queries. Sometimes, it's very difficult to make them understand our problem. & there's no 24/7 live customer support.

2. The performance analytics tab is very complex to understand. There are loads of filters which aren't self explanatory, but useful too. However it's a lot of hassle to understand them for a beginner.

3. Lack of automated revenue tracking from the emails (especially).

4. There's no online course, YouTube videos, or tutorials available over the internet to understand every bit and inch of this tool. So, it's about time to introduce it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Airship?

A few things I like,

- Performance Analytics: Complete breakdown of almost every aspect of user beahviour in terms of numbers.

- Powerfull journey design tool.

- Easy to navigate the basic version apart from the Performance Analytics part. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Airship?

A few things I don't like,

- Email attribution to Custom Events and user beaviour.

- Limited options for Email Deisgn.

- Limited capacity for A/B testing. Limited to one message per sequence. Can't test the whole sequece.

- Performance Analytics and creating custom dashboards to visualize data is a bit tricky.

- Implementation takes a bit of time but that's what all the tools of this sorts take.

- Customer support can be improved. There's no priority support, which will respond to you in minutes. You'll have to pay for it.

- Integration can be improved with other products like GA4 & Facebook.

- No source identification of users: Either the users are coming from Facebook or Google or any other source. I would like my users coming from different sources to receive different communications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Airship?

It is a powerful tool with many use cases, I've only used the tip of the iceberg with so much more to explore. It has helped to improve the perception of the products too. It's the main tool I use almost daily, working with various teams to send out many push notifications/inbox/in-app messages. I could easily send out a last-minute message if needed as it's fairly easy and quick to set up. Setting up the target audience within Airship using attributes is one of my favourites - thanks to the help of the data team to set it up, loading in data set into Airship system on a certain frequency.

Airship has a very user-friendly interface with detailed documentation for self-help. If I had any questions/problems, I could easily reach out to the support team which gave very detailed replies and documentation with clear explanations that helped resolve any issues quickly.

I also enjoy the training sessions, articles and reports Airship organised as those are very insightful and useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Airship?

What do you like best about Airship?

The integration & implementation of data into Airship is seamless, making it easy to use overall. I particularly appreciate the preview mode, which allows me to visualize how content will appear across various devices, ensuring a consistent user experience. The roll-out is quick, so we can test new Push Ideas very fast. I use it on a weekly base. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Airship?

Some settings in Airship are too hidden, requiring support requests and explanations to locate them.

Additionally, the inability to directly compare the performance of Pushes in an A/B test is a drawback. Instead, manual comparison is necessary.

Furthermore, achieving even distribution of pushes throughout the day can be challenging, as there's only an option for all-at-once or distribution managed by Airship. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
