The Record in-person which was recently added is super awesome for so many things. It's incredibly helpful in remote work environments or while traveling. It integrates smoothly with Zoom, Teams, and other conferencing tools, and the setup is quick and easy. The transcript quality has improved so much overtime, the video recording feature is great, the AI assistant on the Action Items from the meeting are always spot on!

I find it difficult to access the transcripts with Krisp. I feel like I have to go through too many steps; I need to press one too many buttons to find the call transcript. In comparison, Fathom provides a more streamlined experience with its user interface, offering easy access to transcripts and summaries through clearly labeled tabs. It is easier to navigate and find what I need on Fathom. Additionally, while setting up Krisp on Windows was straightforward, my colleagues using Mac experienced more difficulty in installing and setting up the software correctly. After checking out all the options in this market, I found that while many services offer similar features with call summaries, they often come with a hefty price tag. Krisp, on the other hand, is reasonably priced and offers almost everything that the more expensive options do.

What really makes Krisp special is its ability to record phone calls without needing to add a bot to the conversation. This is something only a few services can do. It works by integrating with your Mac and acts as both a speaker and microphone, capturing everything that goes through it. This means you can use Krisp with pretty much any app—I’ve even used it for FaceTime calls with my family. The only thing I don’t like about Krisp is that sometimes during the day, even when it’s open, it doesn’t cancel out the noise around me. I try closing and reopening it, but it still doesn’t work right away. Luckily, the issue usually lasts only 20 to 30 minutes, then everything goes back to normal. There are so many upsides to using Krisp. I not only use it during virtual meetings where it cuts out all of the background noise, but I also use it when recording videos for my online courses. It makes these sound like they were done professionally. The transcripts and summaries are also amazing with Krisp.
