What do you like best about Recurly?

The Recurly team eventually worked with us to resolve a major misunderstanding around transaction overages, granting us a waiver until the end of the current contract. This showed flexibility and a willingness to repair the relationship. Since then, communication has become clearer, and we now have more confidence in how terms are documented. What do you dislike about Recurly?

Commercial transparency still needs to improve. Key costs and thresholds should be highlighted clearly in proposals and discussions upfront, not left to fine print in contracts. While our situation was eventually addressed, the process was longer and more difficult than it should have been. Better upfront clarity and proactive communication would help rebuild trust further. What do you like best about Recurly?

Their customer support is unmatched. When we faced a major gateway issue, Recurly jumped in immediately and helped us migrate, even though it was not their responsibility. What do you dislike about Recurly?

The interface feels a bit dated in some areas, and reporting could be more flexible out of the box like exporting detail New vs Recurring. What do you like best about Recurly?

The API is pretty easy to use, but the customer support is why I stick around. You can't run a saas without hitting a few bumps. They always are willing to figure out what happened, and help you make it right with the customer. Even if it was just you were being dumb. It's easy to get started, and you can start with their hosted pages doing the heavy lifting, then as you grow as a company, you can start "taking over" pages to make the process more seemless for your clients. What do you dislike about Recurly?

The API docs are.. goofy sometimes. Othertimes it's downright incorrect. Lastly, the way they handle ids (subscription ids, customer ids) is different depending on the context. The ID you get in the api isn't the same you see if you visit the customer's page on their website. The webhooks are great, but because the ID's are rough, sometimes you are left guessing as how to match stuff up. Also while their analytics is great, analytics for pay per usage is seriously lacking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At times, the interface feels somewhat clunky, making navigation less smooth than I would like. Customizing reports or workflows often takes more effort than expected, and I’ve found that some of the more advanced features aren’t particularly intuitive for those who are new to the platform. What do you like best about Recurly?

Being directly involved with Customer Support, this tool, the entire Recurly platform, is essential for our business to run. And having all the data you need at your disposal always makes it simple and efficient. I am using it for 12 hours per day every day. And I can offer support in real time, both to our customers, both to our company internal needs. It is perfectly integrated into our system, linked to other CMS. What do you dislike about Recurly?

There are some restrictions but imposed by the need to be in compliance with transaction duties, so the fact that you cannot edit something, like an already produced invoice, or an existing coupon, without having to rely to some workaround, is something that you can live with. What do you like best about Recurly?

1) product management - it is easy to manage and customize subscriptions

2) integrations: webhooks for all events, as well as out-of-the-box solutions for zendesk / tax services like avalara

3) gateway flexibility and ready-made support - recurly already has great support for many popular payment gateways

4) dunning management

What do you dislike about Recurly?

Webhooks are still transactions/adjustments centered. Mobile app subscription services like revenuecat give a lot of prominence to subscription status changes for events/webhooks: like in trial / regular / canceled / expired - to achieve similar data from curly you will still ber required some tinkering Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
