What do you like best about Toast?

Can't say i like anything. its is a frustrating system overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toast?

Toast Tab should make things easier, but everything is 5 times harder than it should be, and it takes multiple outreaches to get the most simple things done, and they are rarely correct even then. My address is incorrect, and I've reached out multiple times about it, and it's still incorrect in various parts of their system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Toast?

I've had a great experience using toasttab for our restaurant/market concept. The whole system both on desktop and POS is straight forward and completely user-friendly for both our restaurant and retail needs. Using it required virtually no training, and for any questions that arose the desktop version is full of an encyclopedia of help guides and tutorials. The reporting features are wonderful. All of the data that we need to track sales, labor, pmix, and drawer counts is right at our fingertips. The systems seamlessly integrated with our other software to allow us to track everything. When I have had to call customer support they are extremely helpful and the screen sharing feature comes in super handy when trying to explain the issues we are seeing on our end. My Chef's and myself use almost every feature every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toast?

What do you like best about Toast?

What do you dislike about Toast?

Reports, they are very basic and are not helpful when trying to utilized data to improve the business. For example, it is kind of ridiculous that you can not highlight individule job codes when looking at the labor reports. This would be helpful when caluclating FOH and BOH labor. Instead we have to manually find that number. Also the way the menus are organized doesnt make sense, some tabs disapper when you have go to a different page and you have to return to the hom screen to go to a different tab.

Customer support is only good if you get a good person, lots of techs dont seem to know what they are doing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Multi-Functional with Lots of Reports Available"
What do you like best about Toast?

I like all the different reports that are available. I also like how Toast Payroll empowers employees by being able to make their own changes to their profile, or even the ability to access it after termination (along with W2s). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Toast?

I don't like that I have to call Toast Payroll in order to set up an off-cycle payroll, it's just inefficient. Also, there have been times where Toast POS has not integrated properly when running payroll, so we still have to check against the POS instead of safely assuming all the hours came over as they should have been (just last month, none of the OT exported over from the POS and that made Payroll more tedious). What do you like best about Toast?

It's accessability. For years POS systems were poorly optimized, Toast fixed that, anyone can learn it easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Toast?

The POS is fine and does what it is supposed to do most of the time. When issues arise be prepared to wait weeks for any sort of resolution and it is most common to just be ignored for weeks on end by the customer care team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Customer service is atrocious. We are still waiting for deposits from Toast for sales we did over six weeks ago. No one responds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Toast?

The best part about toasttab.com is easy implementation of its modules. There are so many features that can be added on to the platform that can comlpetely change the way we interact with POS software. A prime example of this would be XtraChef Pro, Toast's inventory management module. It can save countless hours of the inventory and ordering process workflow, and provide a living, breathing inventory that updates in real-time based on the items "rung in" by FoH staff! Top it off with the ability to take a picture of an invoice and allow Toast AI to not only add it to the existing inventory, but to go through it line-by-line and create a pricing history for all items. For those whom order the same ingredient from multiple purveyors, XtraChef Pro is a dream come true. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Toast?

Cars made the horse and buggy obsolete. Toast makes building complicated menus and multistep website ordering a thing of the past. There isn't one client I've referred to Toast that isn't blown away by its ease of setup, use, support, and features. Its inventory management and COGS analysis shows them where they need to adjust pricing to stay profitable too. This is simply a must-have tool for ANY food service business.
