Manage leads

Once you have created leads, you can manage leads from the leads index page or the sales workspace.
Before you get started
Before you begin working with this feature, make sure to fully understand what steps should be taken ahead of time, as well as the limitations of the feature and potential consequences of using it.
Understand requirements
- To manage leads in the leads index page, users must have Super Admin permissions or Edit permissions for leads.
- To manage leads in the sales workspace, users must have an assigned Sales Hub seat with access to the Leads tab.
Understand limitations & considerations
- Users with Super Admin permissions or View sales workspace as another user permissions can view all leads in the sales workspace.
- In order for a lead to appear in the sales workspace, it must have an assigned owner. Unassigned leads will still appear in the leads index page and on the associated contact or company record.
Manage leads in the leads index page
You can view individual lead records in the leads index page. You can also edit and delete leads if you have Edit and Delete permissions.
View leads in the leads index page
To view leads in the leads index page:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Leads.
- To filter your leads, click the filters at the top of the table or click Advanced filters to further customize your filters.
- To edit the information that's displayed in the table, click Edit columns.
- To view the lead's individual record, click the lead name.
Edit and delete leads from the leads index page
To edit leads:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Leads.
- Select the checkboxes next to the leads you want to edit, and click Edit at the top of the table.
- In the pop-up box, click the Property to update dropdown menu and select the property you want to edit. Choose the desired values and click Update.
- You can also edit lead properties from the right panel. Learn more about viewing and editing individual lead record properties.
To reassign leads:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Leads.
- Select the checkboxes next to the leads you want to reassign, and click Assign at the top of the table.
- In the pop-up box, click the Lead owner dropdown menu and select a lead owner. Then, click Update.
To delete leads:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Leads.
- Select the checkboxes next to the leads you want to delete, and click Delete at the top of the table.
- In the pop-up box, confirm how many leads you want to delete, and click Delete.
Manage leads in the sales workspace
Please note: the following content applies to accounts created before Aug. 27, 2025, whose users had previously been active in the sales workspace. For accounts created after Aug. 27, 2025, (or for accounts who are newly using the sales workspace), learn how to manage sales activities in the updated sales workspace.
You can view, edit, and delete leads in the sales workspace. You can also create custom saved views and manage leads in a board view.
View leads in the sales workspace
You can view leads that are associated to a contact or company in the sales workspace using preset views or saved views. You can also view and manage leads using the Manage leads in a board view (BETA).
To view leads in the sales workspace:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- On the left sidebar, click Leads.
- To change the view, click the Preset view or Saved view. Learn more about custom saved views.
- Open leads: leads that are not in a qualified or disqualified stage.
- Target Accounts: leads that are associated to Target accounts.
- Recent Activity: leads that have had recent activity.
- Not in Sequence: leads that are not currently enrolled in a sequence.
- All: all leads assigned to the user in any lead stage.
- To filter your leads, click the filters at the top of the table or click Advanced filters to further customize your filters.
- To change the lead pipeline, click the pipelines dropdown menu and select the pipeline you want to view, or select All pipelines.
- To edit the information that's displayed in the table, click Edit columns.
- To view the lead's individual record, click the lead name.
To view and manage leads in a board view:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- On the left sidebar, click Leads.
- Click the gridIcon board icon.
If you have Super Admin permissions or View sales workspace as another user permissions, you can view all leads. To view all leads, click the Actions dropdown menu on the top right and select View all leads.
Create and edit a leads saved view
You can create or edit custom views for your leads. This means you can create views tailored to your specific needs. To do so, you must have an assigned Sales Hub seat and access to the Leads tab.
To create a saved view for your leads in the sales workspace:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- On the left sidebar, click + Create view.
- In the dialog box, enter a name for your view, then click Create view.
- To filter your leads, click the filters at the top of the table or click Advanced filters to further customize your filters.
- Click Save view in the upper right.
To edit a saved view for your leads in the sales workspace:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- On the left sidebar, in Saved views, click your saved view.
- Click the filters at the top of the table or click Advanced filters to further customize your filters.
- Click Save view in the upper right.
Edit and delete leads in the sales workspace
You can edit and delete leads from the sales workspace if you have an assigned Sales Hub seat and access to the Leads tab.
To edit your leads in the sales workspace:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- Click the name of the lead you want to edit.
- In the right panel, click the edit pencil icon or value to edit properties.
- Click Save. Learn more about viewing and editing individual records.
Please note: after a lead has moved to a Qualified or Disqualified stage, only a Super Admin can edit the lead stage.
To bulk-reassign leads in the sales workspace:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- Select the checkboxes next to the leads you want to reassign, and click Assign at the top of the table.
- In the pop-up box, click the Lead owner dropdown menu and select a lead owner. Then, click Update.
Please note: users must have View Sales Workspace as another user permissions to bulk reassign leads.
To delete your leads in the sales workspace:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- Select the checkboxes next to the leads you want to delete, and click delete Delete at the top of the table.
- In the pop-up box, confirm how many leads you want to delete. Then, click Delete.
Please note: users must have Bulk delete permissions to delete leads.
To enroll the contacts associated with your leads into a sequence:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Sales > Sales Workspace.
- Click the Prospecting tab.
- Select the checkboxes next to the leads you want to enroll, and click sequencesEnroll in a sequence at the top of the table.
- In the pop-up box, select the sequence.
- Continue enrolling contacts in the sequence.
