What do you like best about Acumatica?

What I really like about Acumatica is how flexible and user-friendly the system is. Once you get used to the screens, it’s pretty easy to navigate between different modules like Projects, Distribution, and Production. The dashboards and filters make it simple to track what’s happening in real time without switching between multiple reports. I also like that most of the processes can be customized to match our business flow without needing heavy coding. The cloud access is another big plus — I can log in from anywhere and continue my work seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

Sometimes the system can feel a bit slow, especially when working with large data or multiple tabs open. A few screens have too many fields, which makes them slightly cluttered for day-to-day users. Also, certain setups and customizations require deep understanding of the backend or help from the support team — it’s not always straightforward for regular users. What do you like best about Acumatica?

I love how everything is related or linked together. I can always follow the "breadcrumb" trail and find what I need. A sales order tells the entire story, from shipment, to invoice, to supplier bill, and so on. It's fantastic to have a cloud-based ERP where our entire company can access information easily. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

At this point in our implementation (less than a year on Acumatica), I don't really have any downsides to list. Having a data driven system has forced our company and our employees to be better stewards of our data input. Sometimes Acumatica can feel rigid to get new customers or items created - but rather, it's a blessing in disguise because it forces us to set things up correctly the first time. Disconnected feel between services - Difficult for new users to separate local editions from parent Acumatica and from Acumatica Portal, difficult for existing users to discover / learn how to use new modules or features with live data

Large Learning / Knowledge gap for new users & power users - Power users require years of knowledge learning and experience to utilize Acumatica SaaS, difficult to hand off and manage large span of tools

Knowledge on support resources difficult to source

Support for existing customers very limited, reliant on Acumatica partners and keeping up with technology falls on subscribed customers despite limited to no check-ins on feature use

We absolutely hear your concerns about the disconnected feel between services and the learning curve for both new and power users and the 2025 R2 release includes significant UI improvements and enhanced integration capabilities that should address many of the navigation and discovery challenges you've outlined.

What do you like best about Acumatica?

I find Acumatica to be exceptionally intuitive. When I joined a new company with minimal training, I was able to teach myself how to navigate and use the system with ease. Unlike many other programs that come with frustrating quirks and steep learning curves, Acumatica runs smoothly and efficiently, offering a user-friendly interface that makes adoption straightforward.

The platform is robust and feature-rich. Even after four years of daily use, I’m still discovering new modules and capabilities. In my 20-year accounting career, Acumatica stands out as one of the best—if not the best—software solutions I’ve worked with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The only module I’ve found to be somewhat less intuitive is the Inventory module. While I don’t use it daily in my role, I’ve noticed it can be a bit tricky to navigate at times. That said, it still performs reliably and offers solid functionality. I’m confident that with a bit more hands-on experience, I’ll be able to master it fully. What do you like best about Acumatica?

Acumatica is easy to learn and use and can be customized so that the data you need access to simultaneously are displayed together on one page or accessed via a tab on that page. Since the initial implementation of Acumatica (printed orders and traditional warehousing), much of the physical storage in our warehouse has been automated, which has been integrated with Acumatica. What do you dislike about Acumatica?

Acumatica is an ERP, not a WMS, so it does not track items in our warehouse well in real time. If you need Acumatica to keep track of your inventory in an actual warehouse setting, get the add-on WMS program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Acumatica?

I have used many small accounting and larger ERP systems. None work like Acumatica. When I said this system was written to run in the cloud - I really mean it. You can tell the company worked hard with industry experts to plan, design, and then program a software solution. This is not legacy software attempting to run in the cloud.

You can import and export from any system screen. Most common user screens have the ability with one click like sales order but for power users you can easily hit any screen/table you want.

I required very fancy customer discounts. This was the only system that could handle it.

I have over 100k SKUs and 50k bins. The system didn't complain. No user screens started to choke either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

I originally purchased a perpetual license many years ago. Unfortunately, those are no longer offered. My annual maintenance price has not changed each year which was a pleasant surprise. This year I was forced to upgrade to the latest version or I would get penalized 25% each month. It was in the middle of our busy season and nobody wanted to go through a major upgrade that could cause issues. I can understand support not wanting to help if we are on an old version but to force us to upgrade or fine us harshly is just down right abuse from a vendor. If that practice doesn't stop then I can see people leaving.

Don't try hosting this software on a virtual server. It will not perform well. Make sure you get a dedicated server. Also don't use the MySQL database. The only one that works is the MSSQL. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

1) If a company is on an older version, you are missing out on the latest features, such as AI, modern UI, etc.

2) Updated versions include security updates which are important to protect company, employee, and customer data, along with protect against ransomware related incidents

What do you like best about Acumatica?

Acumatica is very user friendly. Easy to navigate. Well labeled units/sections so you know where to go to get information you need. Seamless transition with Savant (WMS system). Communication between the two is instant and accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

The fact we need a WMS system is a downside. Wish Acumatica had the capabilities of location management/scanning so it can all be integrated. I also think Acumatica should do a better job of vetting their consulting firms. What do you like best about Acumatica?

We like both the depth of features across the varied modules and the flexibility of the platform to be extended/modified. We also like the partner-based model, as that is what we have had for years with Dynamics SL. With our extensive SL experience, we have found our implementation of Acumatica to be easier than we expected.

What do you dislike about Acumatica?

Overall, we do have significant complaints about Acumatica. I would say we would like to see more low-code/no-code workflow capabilities across the platform.
