"Frustratingly rigid and inefficient platform"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Nothing... there is not a value proposal compare with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

The platform is extremely inflexible. Making any change to a booking takes far too long — sometimes hours — to the point that it’s easier to cancel and rebook from scratch, which is inefficient and costly.

For example, with AVE/RENFE in Spain, I can’t make changes either at the station or via Navan. The app claims it’s RENFE’s limitation, which isn’t true — booking directly with RENFE allows changes.

Another major pain point is flight bookings. I’m forced to book flights through Navan, but the booking details are often incomplete or incorrect. When flying to Barcelona, I frequently can’t check in online because the system either doesn’t recognize the locator or provides invalid ticket info. This results in unnecessary time wasted at airport counters.

This is, hands down, the worst travel experience I’ve had. I will only continue using it because it’s mandatory at my company, but I would never recommend it to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not designed for experienced travelers using status benefits"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Receipts at times can be easy to add to expense report Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

International travel conversions always lose money due to exchange rates. Hotel cancellations spent 1000’s dollars on hotel changes Navan makes pay for cancellations when I can cancel for free if book directly through Hilton. Prices, hotels always cheaper through Hilton app. Plane upgrades and voucher usage does not exist. Make plane ticket, call airline for upgrade, if not available cancel plane reservation and try again. Fills up credit cards with plane ticket fees being retuned later. Navan is not friendly to frequent flyers and travelers with status at hotels and airlines Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Travel Planning and Rewards, but Pricing Can Be Confusing"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

It is a good tool for travel planning, flights, hotels, rental cars, including budget planning, management of bonus systems (e.g. from airlines) and a kind of payback system that should help to save costs by encouraging users to book cheaper hotels. Customer support is very fast and well-trained. Setting up policies is simple and understandable. The tool is very clear and intuitive to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

The pricing is sometimes incomprehensible, flights are sometimes more expensive than on the free market Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A helpful having all bookings from one trip in one place. Not sure it always finds the best price"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

That all travel arrangements (flights, train and hotel) for a trip are in one place, including those for other travellers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Some functionality is a bit clunky.

Not always offering the best price, especially with hotels where many hoteliers offer much best prices when booking direct. A useful feature would be the ability to add to a "Naavn trip" booking references for bookings made elsewhere. This is not to encourage use of other platforms, instead encouraging people to use Navan as the 'single truth' for trip arrangements. At the moment, I use Outlook or a Word document for this purpose. "I recommend Navan to ALL of my business connections."
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I love the idea that I get rewards basically three times. My loyalty rewards from hotels and flight lines and then Navan rewards us when booking, AND they give us cash back for all employee bookings. I also love how professional the itineraries and trip plans are presented to our employees. Everyone takes control by booking what they need within policy. Very easy to set up and it also integrates with Expensify and other tools you might use. Customer Support is very responsive. I use it for all client and employee travel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I don't like that you can't use your rewards on business travel. You can only use it on your personal travel. I think they can do better with their group bookings. I don't like the guests to book their own travel. As the company host I prefer to book it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Don't believe what you see on the Navan account"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Navan was provided by the company I work with, it looked like a good idea to use the points from my business trips for my personal trips, until I've booked my first (and last) personal trip. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I booked and paid for a round-trip flight 7280238 (Berlin–Antalya–Berlin) through Navan, and everything look fine on the account, but on fact only one leg of the journey appeared on the airline’s website, which I discovered by chance. Fortunately there was almost a month before the flight to solve the issue.

I contacted support repeatedly for several weeks, and despite numerous chats with different agents and empty promises of updates within 72 or 5 hours or during the day, I never received a working PNR or confirmation of both flights. Weeks later, I still have no complete itinerary, no refund, and no accountability — just blame-shifting to the airline and zero follow-through. Navan’s handling of this issue nearly ruined my vacation. I cannot recommend them to anyone relying on timely, responsible travel service.

If you're contacting their support don't forget to screenshot and save all the conversations to the text file, there's no history log on the account Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Okay for flights, but interface can be slow and hotels unreliable"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

The UI is fairly clean and mostly usable. And booking flights is reliable if you get through checkout. Not as painfully rigid as SAP Concur a lot of the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

It's so slow that it makes me want to tear my hair out everytime I use it. Genuinely gives me an 'ugh' when I have to book travel because I know how painfully slow it'll be.

There are way too many confusing options for hotels. I wish there was a 'simple and fast' mode which would allow me to book travel a lot faster. Additionally booking hotels is sometimes a little unreliable - e.g. I can get to a hotel and they'll have me down for a different room type, or won't have breakfast when the rate I booked does etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Experience With Navan - Work and Personal"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I use Navan through work for all of my work travel needs and it is SO easy to use. I go on at least 5 trips a year with work and so I use it often. It includes many features, my favorite being that it keeps track of all of my memberships and then gives me the best deal for those while booking for work. I book flights, hotels, and car rentals and the prices are fair for my organization and super easy to shift. Customer support is always available and sometimes I use it for personal trips because they give me great deals. I also use it to keep up with my work credit card spending, which is also easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Sometimes when it is keeping track of my spending, it automatically puts the purchase into a category that is wrong, so then I have to go back and tweak it to fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Travel Management with Navan"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I am having wonderful services and experience with Navan. The best thing is to connect with Agents anytime to provide customize advice and solution (my favorites).

User-Friendly Interface: The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, making booking and managing travel simple for both individuals and teams.

All-in-One Travel & Expense Management: Navan combines travel booking, itinerary management, and expense tracking in one place, streamlining workflows.

Real-Time Support: 24/7 customer service is often praised for being responsive and helpful, especially during travel disruptions.

Smart Booking Features: Personalized recommendations, policy compliance prompts, and cost-saving suggestions help users make better travel decisions.

Mobile App Convenience: The mobile app allows travelers to manage bookings, submit expenses, and get support on the go.

Corporate Travel Insights: Admins and finance teams appreciate the detailed reporting and analytics tools for tracking travel spend and trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Though, overall, I like Navan's but there are occasions where I need expertise and scope for improvements.

Limited Flexibility in Booking Options

Glitches or Bugs in the App: Occasional technical issues, such as app crashes or syncing problems with itineraries or expenses, can be frustrating.

Customer Support Delays During Peak Times: Although generally responsive, some users report slower support during high-demand periods or complex travel disruptions.

Strict Corporate Policy Enforcement: For employees, the platform’s enforcement of company travel policies can feel restrictive, limiting personal preferences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Navan – Travel Made Simple and Stress-Free"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

What I like best about Navan is how it takes the stress out of booking business trips. Everything’s quick, easy, and flexible, so I can focus on work instead of juggling flights and hotels. Plus, the app keeps everything organized in one place, which is a lifesaver when I’m on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Sometimes the app can be a little slow to update changes or cancellations, which can be a bit annoying when plans shift last minute. But overall, it’s pretty reliable and makes travel way easier than it used to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
