What do you like best about DemandTools?

As a Salesforce developer/admin, I used to rely on Data Loader, but after discovering Demand Tools, I started working with it regularly. I really like its clean, intuitive, and user-friendly interface with no unnecessary confusion. One of my favorite implementation by tool is the key icon selection during data mapping, which makes it easy to identify the unique identifier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DemandTools?

I’ve been using Demand Tools for over a year, but recently, as a Salesforce developer/Admin, I noticed a major gap when comparing it to Salesforce Inspector. In Salesforce Inspector, we can perform all DML operations directly, and it automatically detects the primary key while mapping data. It also displays detailed errors next to each individual record during operations, making troubleshooting easier. In contrast, Demand Tools still only shows an overall error summary, without record-level error details — a feature I believe it’s still missing. I dislike about this implementation missing in Demand Tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DemandTools solving and how is that benefiting you?

Demand Tools makes bulk data work in Salesforce so much easier. I use it for updates, uploads, and cleaning up duplicates, and it’s saved me a ton of time compared to other tools like data loader. What do you like best about DemandTools?

We often use demand tools for duplicate management, deleting, and modifying records in bulk. The frequent refresher trainings really helps admins easily get back into using this product. The customer support portal is filled with videos and articles that are easily accessible and very helpful. We frequently sign in/out of sandbox and production to make changes to the data in both environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DemandTools?

The only issue I have which I understand is unique to our organization is that with the frequent updates released, I have to contact our IT department to get their help with admin credentials to install the new versions. If only there was a way to bypass that and have my computer allow installation of the releases faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Looked for a duplicate matching tool and DemandTools fits the brief"

What do you like best about DemandTools?

How bespoke tool is, I love how I can weight values within fields, combine values for multiselect etc. It just hits the spot with how complex duplicate matching and merging can be, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The history element. Often I want to look back at past merges to see what happened but I can't do this, I can only see a row item for the entire merge job - it's not possible to review it to help troubleshoot any issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Want your data in Tip Top Shape? Demand Tools is the key!"

What do you like best about DemandTools?

It is easy to use, implement and you customize to your needs. I have used Demand Tools at many previous companies, large and small and now with our clients and one thing remains the same, DTV meets all needs. I have been able to customize the modules to fit the needs of the database, use cases and enablement processes to achieve amazing results.

As I started at my last company, the first thing I did was to utilize the Assess feature. I used this day one to set a baseline for our data quality and then set it to run monthly. I brought these reports to my 90 day, 6 month and annual reviews. Not only would I not start a new role without DTV, I relied on this to prove the outcomes of our database improvements!

What do you dislike about DemandTools?

There is not much to dislike. the team is available weekly for Office Hours and the product has a Feature Request button built in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Salesforce Administration Tool"

What do you like best about DemandTools?

The wide range of tools tools that allow many forms of data query, update, and deduping. Each is pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it, and all have the ability to save Templates to repeat process over and over. The Object deduper allows for you to operate similar to the salesforce DEDUPE operation, across ANY objects. you can define rules that score which record to take as the master, so that bulk dedupe jobs can be relatively hands off. I have used this tool in it's various forms for 14+ years now. Early on, it was the only tool that did some of the jobs it can do. Now there are others, but this still hold true as a useful tool. What do you dislike about DemandTools?

We were not thrilled with the licening model that changed from individual licenses (which were our Admins) to being based on total users, where we have Thousands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DemandTools?

It saves you time in managing your records and maintaining the SFDC org. It makes repetitive tasks easy and you can manage your data without losing hours or days of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I honestly have not found anything that I dislike about the tool. The team takes all suggestions and makes modifications to enhance the application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DemandTools solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am able to quickly standardize, load and manage data within SFDC without exporting large sheets of data. This is turn keeps security a top priority. I use it to load data and with the functions I can quickly assess or locate issues within the data load. I use it everyday for a multitude of tasks. Too numerous to include!

I was able to recently reduce a weekly data load from two days manually uploading to two hours prepping and loading with DemandTools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
