sorry about that. I was using reply instead of reply to all (habit).
installing orkbasecxx before compiling orkaudio worked, and I now have
telephone recording again. one question though. the config file says
that if I have standard addresses I don't need to set lanmasks (my IPs
are 192.168.1.0/24), however it showed an incoming call as outgoing, so
my question is do you think I need to set up lanmasks or could it be
something else?

Try to do a make install in orkbasecxx before attempting to compile
orkaudio. Also, please post messages to the mailing list, not directly

We have successfully managed to compile under Ubuntu 8.10 here. Have you
done:

 

$ libtoolize -force?

that didn't help. If I knew more about the compiling process I might be able
to figure it out, but I have tried many commands and none seem to help. I
wonder if it would be safe to also install libtool 1.5 on the same system,
although I doubt it. Anymore ideas?

libtool: and run autoconf again.
