Henri ========================================================== Java and Web UI Developer telecommute OrecX is looking for a home based Java and Web UI developer to join its decentralized development team. Job profile: * Java J2EE database/web driven development experience on a commercial, academic or open source project (at least 6 months - all levels of experience considered) * Passion for developing nice web interfaces * Knowledge of any of the following technologies will be considered a plus: HTLM5, Tomcat, Eclipse, Tapestry, JSF, Ajax, Hibernate, Spring, Hivemind, Unix command-line. * Platforms: Windows and Linux * Database: SQL, practice of one major database system (can be MySQL, postgreSQL, or mainstream commercial RDBMS) * Source versioning systems: subversion or git or equivalent * Self starter * Ability to interact with customers * Reasonable command of the english language * Knowledge of one or more foreign languages a plus * Curiosity, interest in emerging technologies * Adhere to process and culture, team player Job conditions: * Contract, evolving into long term working relationship * Candidate must be based in North, Central or South America and needs to be working on a US east coast 9:00-5:00 time frame * Candidate must have a quiet office space equipped with at least 5 MBit/s ADSL or cable internet and provide his own development computer (Linux or windows) |
