"What We Love Most About Missive at MonsieurChalets.com"
What do you like best about Missive?

At MonsieurChalets.com, managing over 800 luxury chalets across Québec requires our team to be highly synchronized across various departments, including reservations, guest communications, owner support, and marketing. Missive has become the central hub of our communication workflow.

Here’s what we love most:

🧠 Truly Collaborative Emailing

Missive’s shared inboxes and collaborative email features (such as comments, assignments, and shared drafts) enable our customer support and booking teams to collaborate in real time on guest inquiries. This eliminates the need for internal email threads or Slack messages to coordinate who is handling what — everything happens within Missive.

📱 Unified Platform for Multi-Channel Communication

We integrate email, SMS, and Facebook/Instagram messaging into Missive, ensuring our team never misses a message, regardless of the platform. This all-in-one communication hub has significantly improved our response times and customer satisfaction.

🛠️ API + Custom GPT Integration

With Missive’s open API, we integrate some of our AI tools — like our custom GPT assistant — to draft responses, auto-tag conversations, or prioritize urgent guest requests. It’s powerful and allows us to scale our communication without losing personalization.

🔥 Rules and Automations

We have set up rules to automatically route emails based on CITQ numbers, regions, or language preferences. These automations help us stay organized and ensure every message is handled by the appropriate team member without delay.

📈 Boosts Accountability & Transparency

Whether it’s following up with an owner, handling a late-night emergency guest issue, or assigning tasks to marketing, Missive helps us track every conversation and who is responsible for what. It’s like Slack, Gmail, and a CRM all in one — but better.

Bottom line:

Missive helps us move faster, communicate better, and deliver an exceptional guest and owner experience — all while keeping our internal team aligned and efficient. It’s a must-have tool for any business with high communication volume and team collaboration needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

While Missive checks almost every box for us at MonsieurChalets.com, there’s one limitation we’ve run into:

📞 No Native Integration with OpenPhone

We use OpenPhone for team calls and SMS, but unfortunately, Missive doesn’t offer a direct integration with it. This creates a bit of friction since we can’t centralize all of our communication — especially SMS — inside Missive without workarounds.

That said, Missive does offer alternatives, like Twilio or custom webhook integrations, which we’ve explored. It’s not a dealbreaker, but having a native OpenPhone integration would make things even more seamless for teams like ours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Missive Review from a Lawyer"
What do you like best about Missive?

I really appreciate how this organizes emails into a single thread, which is something OutLook doesn't do. Opening conversations and following email threads on specific subjects makes managing my inbox much simpler. I also like that there are private chatrooms for colleagues to communicate. Another feature I use frequently is Labels, which helps me group related conversations together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

I find it frustrating that there isn't a search function within email threads or conversations to look up specific keywords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use"
What do you like best about Missive?

The most helpful aspect I have found is the different team space, it means that we can have a separate mailbox for our marketing team sales teams etc.

The chatroom feature is really handy when you don't want to write an email to a colleague but need a quick conversation.

Use it every day at work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

It's quite difficult to find archived emails and when searching for a particular email everything from everyone's mailboxes come up in the results.

I find inbox feature a little confusing between my mailbox and 'all'. - I never know whether I can archive things from the all inbox or whether it effects other people's inboxes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for keeping teams updated, organized and delegate work."
What do you like best about Missive?

Missive is very useful for updating everyone. Being able to tag people in an email, comment internally about it in the same conversation, and assign it accordingly makes everyone's job easier and more organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

The task feature is relatively new, but I would love it if it could function more like a project management tool, so we wouldn't have to use another software. And the searching option inside a chat, rather than just highlighting the word we're looking for, should specify the messages where the word is. It's hard to find something that you know it's there when you have to scroll all the way through several days or weeks of messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Collaboration and AI Features, but Search and Duplication Issues"
What do you like best about Missive?

What I appreciate most about Missive is the ability to tag my colleagues and have internal discussions before sending an email to a client. I also find it very useful that I can incorporate templates using shortcuts, along with the added AI features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Sometimes, when I search for certain emails, they don't show up as expected. Additionally, there are occasions when conversations are duplicated for no apparent reason. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great email and collab tool"
What do you like best about Missive?

Being able to tag other staff and have conversations about an email before replying to it, all in the one thread is very useful, especially in customer service and operations departments. It is also very beneficial to be able to go back to this thread and find all the information in one place when you have customer queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

It would be good if the filter when searching had a date range. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great tool"
What do you like best about Missive?

"Missive has completely transformed our team's email collaboration workflow. The ability to share conversations with colleagues seamlessly is a game-changer - it makes team communication incredibly efficient and transparent. What truly sets Missive apart is their exceptional support team, who are always quick to respond and help with any questions. The interface is intuitive and the collaborative features are robust, making it an essential tool for our daily operations. Highly recommended for any team looking to streamline their email management!" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

The search functionality could be a bit faster when looking through large email archives, and the email view layout could be more streamlined for better readability. However, these are minor drawbacks compared to the overall value the tool provides Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Major enhancement to our team productivity"
What do you like best about Missive?

We are a team of 8 people and are using Missive whole day since several years. What we love:

- the integration of teams chats within the conversation we have with our customers, it renders projects management much more fluid than when the chat is separated.

- the tasks assignments directly within missive. Again it renders it much more fluid than when we do it in Trello (we keep trello for the bigger tasks managements, but small tasks directly linked to a conversation are much better handled in missive).

- The ability to have a single email inbox while keeping each our own signature.

- The customer support is very reactive.

- We love the reactivity in adding new features, such as AI.

- The learning curve is really easy and fast to be productive. Then some functions are very advanced and require a steeper curve.

Overall our whole team is extremely happy with missive, it is one of the digital tools that really improved our productivity alsomt instantely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

No real downside. If I have to find one, the fact to have the team chat intergated within conversation sometimes renders interacting with customers complicated, if they are live with us and thus see our internal comments. There should be a way to hide the team chat.

Also it can be confusing at beginning exactly what do the different close/archive/trash/assign buttons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Email App"
What do you like best about Missive?

Missive is really great at managing emails across multiple inboxes and team members. Emails can be assigned to others really easily and the commenting feature is really useful for that too.

The snooze and Undo send features are also great to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Whilst there are loads of settings to personalise your inbox, I think the Out of Office provision could be improved, by adding a way to set an automatic on/off timed function. eg. set out of office to run from date A at time A until date B at time B. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Thoughts from an every day user"
What do you like best about Missive?

I use Missive daily to keep track of multiple email addresses, threads, and tasks. I appreciate being able to chat with other team members regarding specific emails and threads. I like how easy it is to move from one email address to another. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Missive?

Some of the updates haven't been particularly helpful. Recent changes to how searches work have made searches harder, not easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
