"A powerful backend with a cumbersome and outdated frontend"
What do you like best about Workfront?

Workfront offers many promising features, such as Priorities, Canvas Dashboards, and Planning. The API is extensive.

Adobe branding is a name that many outsiders associate with professional products.

The community, especially through Experience League, is both good and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

Unfortunately the UI / UX is quite outdated. It would be nice, if some newer Web-Framework would be used. Getting together necessary information requires a lot of clicks.

In our context we need a huge amount of individual customisation. Each customer has different needs. Workfront offers many interesting approaches, but it is often unclear whether we are relying on a solution that will still be viable in the future.

Many functions seem to have been neglected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for productivity and management"
What do you like best about Workfront?

The thing that I like best about work is how easy it is to manage the calendar as well as how easy it is to automate tasks among by team I also love how easy it is to upload data as it has saved me a lot of time and money on labor I also love how my whole team can access files quickly and easily with no complaints Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

The thing that I dislike the most about Workfront is the lack of checkers for AI specifically for things that my colleagues upload as some days they do get a bit lazy and they do use AI to upload important documents or to get important things done, which can really impact our client relations I feel like they should have at least some checker that I can look at quickly and be like hey why did you do the AI I need it done Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Workfront is VAN-TASIC"
What do you like best about Workfront?

s a Senior Project Manager, what I love most about Workfront is how it brings clarity and control to complex workflows. It keeps my projects organized, timelines on track, and cross-functional teams aligned—all in one place. The dashboards, templates, and real-time updates make it easy to manage multiple deliverables without missing a beat.

It also reduces the need for constant follow-ups since everything is visible and traceable. Workfront helps me stay proactive, efficient, and ahead of deadlines. I honestly don’t know how I’d manage without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

One thing I wish Workfront supported better is the ability to route more dynamic asset types—like banners, social media reels and stories, and websites—within the platform. While it’s great for static deliverables like PDFs and documents, it falls short when it comes to reviewing and routing multimedia or interactive content.

Being able to route these formats directly within Workfront (instead of relying on external links or offline reviews) would streamline the feedback process, reduce delays, and keep everything in one centralized system. It’s a solid tool overall, but expanding its capabilities for digital and motion-based assets would make it even more powerful—especially for teams in advertising and digital production. "Workfront is a little complex"
What do you like best about Workfront?

The migration from our old project management system turned out to be more complex and demanding than we had anticipated. Overall, it's a good product, but there are a few nuances that have required us to seek extra help from developers, since the "out-of-the-box" functionality didn't fully meet our needs. However, with proper training, both administrators and end-users are now able to use the platform as intended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

The UI could definitely be improved, as it currently feels quite rigid in its configurations. However, when it comes to proofing and approvals integration, there are many positive aspects. The proofing tool, in particular, stands out for enabling strong collaboration on content, which is a significant advantage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Workfront keeps projects organized and teams aligned efficiently"
What do you like best about Workfront?

What I like best about Workfront is how it brings structure and visibility to every project. It’s very effective for managing complex workflows, assigning tasks, and tracking progress in real time. The dashboard gives a clear picture of deadlines, approvals, and workload, which helps our team stay on top of deliverables. I also appreciate the integration with Adobe tools and email, making collaboration smoother and reducing back-and-forth communication. It’s a reliable platform for maintaining accountability and ensuring projects move forward without delays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

While Workfront is powerful, it can feel overwhelming for new users due to the number of features and options. The interface isn’t the most intuitive and sometimes takes extra time to customize reports or navigate between projects. It also requires proper onboarding to understand all functionalities, especially for automation and workflow setup. The tool can occasionally lag when handling large amounts of data or multiple users updating tasks simultaneously. Despite this, once you get used to it, it’s an excellent system for end-to-end project management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Yet Another Overhyped Adobe Product"
What do you like best about Workfront?

Workfront has a lot of ability to set technical deadlines with detailed predecessors, assignment details, resource management, and more - both at a task and project level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

It’s extremely laggy and buggy for larger teams and the overall usability is super poor. It seems we are constantly dealing with some sort of Workfront issue. We were also told we could do X Y Z with this product, yet there never any answers on how we can make those solutions possible for our team. Support is slow and mostly unhelpful. I’ve spent my entire career working in project management systems and Workfront is in my bottom 5 every time, especially considering the pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I have a good experience using work front"
What do you like best about Workfront?

Adobe Workfront is a robust project and portfolio management solution tailored for large teams that require advanced collaboration, resource planning, and comprehensive reporting. It streamlines workflows by centralizing them, offers seamless integration with Adobe Creative Cloud, and enables organizations to maintain clear visibility across numerous projects. On the downside, the platform has a significant learning curve, tends to be more expensive than simpler alternatives, and features a user interface that some users may find less intuitive. In summary, Adobe Workfront is most appropriate for enterprises or complex teams seeking strong project governance, rather than for smaller or less demanding projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

What I’d dislike about Workfront is that it can feel overly complex, with a steep learning curve and a cluttered interface that makes simple tasks take longer than they should. Setting up workflows, reports, and permissions often requires extra time and training, and even then, customizing views isn’t always intuitive. It can also be slow or buggy when handling larger projects, and the constant stream of notifications can feel overwhelming. On top of that, the cost is high, which makes the investment harder to justify if you don’t need all its enterprise-level features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Workfront: The Single Source of Truth for Enterprise Work Management"
What do you like best about Workfront?

For me, the best part is how Workfront works like one central hub for all resource capacity planning and portfolio management. It changed everything for how we handle demand intake. Now, all new projects are aligned well and properly prioritized against the people we have available. The reporting is so dynamic and powerful. It gives us real-time visibility for project health, budget burn rates, and how fast teams work across whole company. Also, the customizable approval and routing rules made our content review process much, much faster. This cut down approval time a lot and stopped the communication problems we used to have. Truly, it gives us a top-down view of our operations, linking strategy straight to execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

The system is strong, yes, but the main problem is that it is too difficult to learn at first, especially for people who are new or only use it sometimes. It takes too much configuration to set it up how a big company needs it, which makes starting the implementation very stressful and demanding. After we set it up, navigating can be confusing if you only do tasks sometimes. We also notice sometimes it is slow when we open big portfolio reports, or if many people search at the same time. Making the user experience better from the start and simplifying the administration panel would be a big improvement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Pretty powerful project management tool that streamlines workflows (but requires some changes)"
What do you like best about Workfront?

Workfront really helps centralize project planning and execution. I like that all the tasks, team collabs and timelines are in one place which actually reduces back and forth emails, miscommunications and confusions. I won't say it's better than other competitors but it's not less either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Workfront?

The thing which is dislike about the product it the features are overwhelming. Whenever we hired a new recruit, it was hard him to be comfortable with the product at first but after they get use to of it, it was a gem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
