It is wonderful how xMatters manages incident ownership and escalation workflows. We have had cases in the past where alerts were acknowledged but no further action was taken, this improved with the system automatically going through the next person if there is no progress on the alert by the owner. The mobile application also qualifies as a mentioning with regards to its reliable notifications, bypassing through the noise, and enabling the on call team to see urgent alerts even when they are not in front of their computers. I like also very much how simple it is to create complicated communication plans by using the drag and drop interface and not involving a developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The initial stages set forth to fine tune the event flood control was a little more difficult than expected. We had to spend additional time reading to discover how to set it up just right so as to prevent the over-alerting and/or inadvertent suppression. Functional though, the reporting could be improved with a greater customization of how they see team response time across our services.
