The error message should have changed and contain some more information.
Have you restartet your browser. Maybe the browser uses some cookie (session) 
information for an non existant db set from an old session.

Good idea. This will also be true for the SMS stuff where a lot of different 
interfaces to webpages do exist.

except for the fact that I can't seem to be able to update (actualy 
installing it in a separate test environment. keeps complaining about missing 
DB ID) I have again an idea

I think it would be nice if the tutos admin can change certain url's from 
inside the program.
eaxmple 1: currently tutos does a mapquest query to get a map. For the 
Netherlands there is a better side with hight precision. Wouldn't it be nice 
if I could change the mapquest url?
example 2: add a url tot the postal code entry field so I could open a 
separate window that would fetch me the correct code for a certain adres.
example 3: posibility to customize the menu system, open it up to additional 
add-ons?

how to you think (probably just one guy listening to this list anyway) :-)

Do we really need these referneces if we already have a reference from the 
invoice table back to the product/task/timetrack ?

Having these refernces will limit us to only have one invoice for every 
project.
BTW: It should also be possible to attach an invoice to an installation (i.e. 
the project is a "product").

Sure it could be possible. But what does it tell us ? Where should we make a 
difference beteen. product/project ?

I think this should be part of the people table. But it also should be 
changeable in the resulting invoice.

What about a "date sent" field in the table ?

-table products: add field 'invoice' integer
-table tasks : add field 'invoice' integer
-table timetrack: add field 'invoice' integer

can we add a field to the products table to separate between project and 
product?

because you can bill on a completed product/project, individual tasks 
completed while the whole project is not, and for billable hours during a 
month. At the end, all invoices are related to a project/product.

then there has to be an 'invoice' table with:
-id autoincrement integer
-cid pointer to client company
-pid pointer to project/product
-VAT percentage copied from a system var but permanently stored with the 
invoice record.
-date/time of creation
-subtotal amount (saves calculation everytime)
-total amount=subtotal+VAT but can be done during runtime I guess
-state: 1=made invoice, 2=invoice sent, 3=reminder sent, 4=2nd reminder, etc.

and 'invoiceline' table with individual amounts for every 
-id autoincrement integer
-iid invoice id
-date/time of creation
-id to task or timetrack
-amount

where do we find/store the hourly rate?
