What do you like best about Laserfiche?

It has everything we need; a powerful suite of tools for document management, workflow automation, scanning, digital forms, and document repository. All of the components are full-featured, easy to use, and easy to deploy. The development team at Laserfiche is constantly improving the product, adding new features such as Smart Fields. What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

Some users complain about the web browser user interface for the repository; searching for documents, opening, and printing can be cumbersome but the main issue seems to be the browser itself, and not the application interface. Most issues can be resolved by clearing browser cache, rebooting the computer, etc. but some users require the extra performance of the Windows client, which is very fast and resolves all of these potential issues. What do you like best about Laserfiche?

Love how flexiable the system is. There are so many ways to automate workflows.

I also love that they have the Laserfiche Answers site, where you can ask for help on anything laserfiche and others can reply to your questions so you get help. Another create program is the Champions program where you met 1 a month and they show you tips and tricks or new things coming in Laserfiche. What do you like best about Laserfiche?

We are able to use custom scripting and query steps in workflow to do more than ever before in Workflow. We also do a lot of workflow and forms integration for letter preparation and tracking of different items throughout the organization. The new features in LF Forms are also super helpful, such as being able to use one form throughout a Forms process rather than having to build a separate form for each step. Looking forward to LF12's Form Testing abilities once we upgrade as well to set 1 email for a test instance rather than replacing the email in each step and then having to change it back. What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

What do you like best about Laserfiche?

Love how the application is continuously evolving. I've created many forms and have automated processes in less than 2 hours. My favorite thing about laserfiche is there's always answers or solutions to my problem. I love how the company is innovative and efficient in evolving their product. In today's world where there's lots of cyber risk, laserfiche has always upkept with protecting sensitive data. We're slowly moving everything to electronic to help eliminate paper waste. What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

What do you like best about Laserfiche?

Laserfiche is an extremely robust solution, allowing us to create solutions for every business process challenge we've tackled to date. The company is extremely responsive, with an active online community. If you have any doubt, Google "Laserfiche Answers" to see the quantity and quality of information available. If you don't have any coding knowledge, you can still create simple forms/processes. But if you do, this product allows you to get super fancy with your designs. We regularaly use Laserfiche Forms, Laserfiche Workflow, and Laserfiche Repository. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

The only thing I can think that Laserfiche could improve on is the ability to link separate business processes together (to run together or otherwise link). The ability to launch one business process from within another would be a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Additionally, while Laserfiche is pushing for cloud adoption, some users feel that the cloud version lacks certain features and integration options available in the on-premises setup. What do you like best about Laserfiche?

No mattery what issue/task/problem my departments come to me with, I can immediately find a way for Laserfiche to solve it. Laserfiche has near limitless "solvability" built into it. Ranging from simple forms that collect simple data, to advanced forms that execute workflows that store data in tables and then creates a customized PDF based on a template and word merge fields.

Outside of public-facing interactivity, it also has the ability to automate redundant tasks inside the repository.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

Unfortunately as much as I want to love the modern designer, it simply does not have the functionality as the classic designer. CSS and JS cannot transition 1 to1, and so I am continually forced to work in the classic designer - which is not a bad thing as that is what I was "brought up" on. I hope LF 12 allows classic CSS and JS code to transition seamlessly to the modern designer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Laserfiche?

Laserfiche is a great tool for automation and retention. The limits of what you can do with it is really the limit of someone's imagination. Very customizable and even people who are not highly technical can find success working with Laserfiche. Customer support is usually really good as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

A bit expensive. Sometimes the ala-cart module options can be confusing. It's nice to not have to pay for things you aren't going to use, but if you have most of the modules like we do, it can be a little tricky to navigate all of the systems to see how they are working together. Sometimes the repository searches are slow. The company is really pushing cloud for all of it's users, but cloud does not offer all of the feature and integration options as an on prem setup does. What do you like best about Laserfiche?

Upon first glance most believe Laserfiche is simply a repository for records (especially with municipal government), but my favorite part is the automation that can be so simply/easily implemented. I believe with Workflow and Forms I can certainly improve any process, and for the most part can fully-automate it. I am not full-time IT, and yet I have been able to become proficient in the behind the scenes work to improve the work life for fellow staff, the electeds, and even the public. What do you dislike about Laserfiche?

I really dislike their different licensing formats with Rio, Avante, etc. These random words are thrown around as if we all understand and yet that is the hardest information to find. Because of the different licensing options with in these formats, I will find staff frustrated that they cannot be full users rather than participants for simple things. That said, if we were able to have one or two full-time Laserfiche programmers in the city, we would be able to set up plenty of forms and workflows to eliminate the need for staff to directly interact with Laserfiche Client.
