What do you like best about Constant Contact?

This is a great platform for email marketing for small businesses, easy to create campaigns to engage new users and customers. It has great features to create campaigns and send out mail with option track it's progress. The template are also useful to send out automated timed mails helping with retention. What do you like best about Constant Contact?

I find the reporting functions useful, especially the open rates and click rates, which are crucial for assessing the effectiveness of email marketing campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

I found Constant Contact very difficult to set up. The process of moving around the boxes and formatting the HTML was extremely slow and challenging, which contributed to a steep learning curve. Additionally, the dashboard has become overly complicated, providing too many options which are not intuitive and clutter my workspace. I dislike that there's no easy way to turn off unnecessary options, making the interface less user-friendly. Furthermore, the software seems to be getting more complex rather than simpler, which is frustrating. I also find it too expensive for what it offers, especially since I do all the work inputting everything myself. The image library is also difficult to use, and the software is not speedy enough, making it unsuitable for an average user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

it is protected and trusted, it is easy to use and very basic. The reports are a nice feature and I enjoy that but do not always use it. I would like better training so I can offer it to staff to use and make for me. I feel like it is difficult for them not to do it and make it look too basic like a elementary student did it on power point. The program is so basic that it falls short. I have been a customer for a while, there were times it felt out of date or behind. The program didn't let me do things I would have liked to do. Customer service was never helpful. Constant Contact has transformed communications and marketing for our small non-profit organization. Professional email appearance has raised our organizational reputation. Tracking capabilities help us understand who is seeing our emails and who is not. Management of our segmented contact lists is smooth and effortless!

Plus, we use Constant Contact landing pages with sign-up forms to track member event registration, merchandise orders, and drive traffic to our online payment accounts.

If I had to point out a downside, I’d say the selection of newsletter and campaign templates feels a bit limited. It’s not a dealbreaker, since the customization tools are decent, but a wider variety would make the process even more attractive. I also wish there were a way to insert anchor links within newsletters, as this would really improve navigation in longer emails. Unfortunately, it seems like that feature isn’t currently supported. Another standout feature is the detailed tracking and reporting. Constant Contact shows me exactly who opened an email, clicked on a link, or interacted with the content. What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

While I really like using Constant Contact for email marketing, there are a few areas where I think it could improve—especially for niche businesses like medspas.

One of the biggest things I wish they offered is more industry-specific templates. While their general designs are clean and professional, I often find myself spending extra time customizing emails to fit the aesthetic and tone that works for medspa clients. Templates tailored to skincare promotions, treatment spotlights, before/after showcases, or seasonal beauty specials would be a huge time-saver.

Another minor downside is that some of the more advanced features—like segmentation or automation workflows—can feel a little limited compared to other platforms. They're useful, but not as flexible or intuitive as I'd like, especially when trying to build personalized campaigns.

Lastly, while the platform is user-friendly overall, a bit more creative freedom in design layout (like more font choices, image placements, or interactive elements) would be helpful in standing out in clients' inboxes.

The SMS system is restrictive. Our organization already has a pre-approved list of phone numbers, but Constant Contact does not allow us to use it as is. The ease of it all. The tools are updated frequently to meet the needs of dynamic communication & marketing developments. The ability to evolve, constantly learn more about my market with their reports, delivering trustworthy and highly professional marketing & communication pieces that our clients actually read. In other words, it allows me to 'actually communicate' with our clients, it helps cut through the noise, and it's so fast. I use it as a solution to a multitude of marketing needs. Social media posts, reporting, videos, events, etc. It integrates easily with all of our existing software, often producing better results than what our 'system' can deliver. What do you dislike about Constant Contact?

the amount of time it takes to load an image into the library. Then, when you do upload an image, you have to click on it to insert the image.
