What do you dislike about Confluence?

At times, Confluence can feel a bit slow when loading large pages or attachments. The search features could also be more accurate, It sometimes takes extra effort to find older documents. Apart from that, the permission settings can get little confusing when managing access for multiple teams. However, these are minor issues compared to the overall ease and usefulness of the platform. Confluence is a powerful and reliable collaboration tool that helps teams create, organize, and share knowledge seamlessly. Its integration with Jira and other Atlassian products makes project tracking smooth and efficient. The platform’s version control, structured spaces, and ready-to-use templates, easy to implement to make documentation easy and transparent, good to use for daily. It’s especially useful for software and project teams who want a centralized knowledge hub for all updates, guides, and discussions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

On the downside, Confluence can feel slow when handling large pages or heavy attachments, and its permission settings can be confusing for beginners. "One of a kind collaboration and documentation tool"
What do you like best about Confluence?

We have implemented Confluence on our premises, and it serves as our primary tool for collaboration, documentation, and sharing news and announcements at the company level. It is quite user-friendly, making it easy to store documentation, specifications, and meeting notes. In short, you can rely on it for all your daily tasks. Multiple users can work on the same pages, leave comments, and edit content without any issues, as version history is tracked in the background. This means you don’t have to worry about losing valuable data or information. Confluence also offers a variety of useful templates and macros that help users set up pages efficiently. We use Confluence daily because it is our main platform for sharing news, events, and company-related information. Integration with Jira is straightforward. Since Confluence is a paid service, their customer support is quite responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

For non technical users especially the number of features, macros, settings, and structure can be overwhelming. With a lot of content many pages, images macros, etc, page loads or search can become slow from time to time.As any other software the pricing is quite an issue, but if you need more users the base cost will raise. "Best tool for collaboration and documentation"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence acts as a central source of truth for all our project-related information. We rely on it to document both the technical and functional details of our projects. Tracking changes is straightforward, and uploading files for future reference is hassle-free. The integration with tools such as Jira, GitHub, and others works seamlessly. Organizing test strategies, plans, cases, and reports is made simple by the page hierarchy feature. Customer support is responsive and helpful. The tool is easy to implement, and we use it daily for documentation, reference, and obtaining approvals. Its integration with intelligent AI agents also allows us to quickly find documents and get answers as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Since we work with thousands of pages, searching by keywords often produces a lot of irrelevant results. The software also offers only basic advanced formatting options, which can be limiting. Additionally, creating complex tables and writing intricate mathematical equations is quite challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Confluence, A platform for team collaboration and knowledge sharing"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence serves as a centralised knowledge base, functioning like a digital library for teams. It enables them to store and share documentation in an organised manner. The process of documenting requirements is straightforward, and multiple team members can edit content in real time. Its easy integration with other tools, such as Jira, adds to its reliability and encourages frequent use by users who need to understand and plan project structures.

Implementation is fairly simple for any project structure and flow with Confluence

The confidence tool is one of the frequently used tools and is helpful to ease the development process

As a product of Atlassian, Confluence also benefits from responsive customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Confluence editing experience sometimes gets slow if multiple working on the same document and is prone to errors.

If the documents are not organised properly, it's very hard to find the specific knowledge when spread across multiple documents

The page does not update in real time for multiple developers, which can lead to data loss Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A solid tool for team collaboration and documentation"
What do you like best about Confluence?

Confluence stands out for its intuitive interface and seamless integration with other Atlassian products, making it an excellent choice for collaborative documentation and knowledge sharing. I particularly appreciate how easy it is to create, organize, and search for content, which significantly improves team productivity. The ability to customize pages with macros and templates allows for flexibility in presenting information, and the real-time collaboration features ensure that everyone stays on the same page. Overall, Confluence has become an essential tool for managing project documentation and fostering transparent communication within our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

While Confluence offers many valuable features, there are areas that could be improved. The permission settings can sometimes be complex to manage, especially in larger organizations with multiple teams and spaces. Additionally, the performance can occasionally lag when working with very large pages or attachments. Some users may also find the learning curve a bit steep when first getting started, particularly with advanced formatting and macros. Despite these challenges, the benefits generally outweigh the drawbacks, and ongoing updates continue to address many of these concerns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, reliable place for our team docs"
What do you like best about Confluence?

I like that everything's in one place - meeting notes, project specs, onboarding docs and leave calendar. It's easy to find and setup the latest version and everyone can collaborate without sending a dozen files around. I Love the collaborative editing and templates. Team members can jump in, update pages and leave comments -- which keeps content fresh and reduce back and fourth meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

Some formatting controls are annoying (tables and layouts can be fiddly), the mobile app isn't great. also get pricey as your team grows. And also Permissions and space setup are confusing for new users, which leads to messy pages if no one enforces structure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best tools for manage project documentation"
What do you like best about Confluence?

As a Java developer with over 5 years of experience in agile teams, I've used Confluence to manage project documentation, knowledge bases, and collaborative wikis for about 3 years. It connects smoothly with our Jira setup letting us link requirements straight to code changes and team notes without changing tools.

Great for team editing—several devs can work on pages at the same time, which changes the game during sprint planning or when fixing problems.

The search works well making it easy to find hidden info on Java frameworks or old bug fixes.

Templates for API docs and release notes cut down on work when new team members start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Confluence?

The mobile app feels awkward for quick edits away from the desk, and sometimes pages load with big attachments.

Custom options are strong but take time to learn if you're not into macros.

On the whole, Confluence has had a positive impact on our team's productivity by bringing all our knowledge together in one place. I'd suggest it to any development team that relies on Atlassian tools—it's a good investment just for how well it fits into your workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
