What do you like best about Attentive?

Attentive came to our attention when we were looking for alternatives to Klaviyo for email marketing that also serviced SMS. Attentive was a stand out due to its integrated SMS and email functionality as well as native integration to Shopify. They also offered an extensive trial which analysis on the benefits that Attentive would bring to the business compared to our existing vendors. What do you dislike about Attentive?

Attentive might be too expensive if you are just starting out with a small business, and to get the most of out of it you should have a good understanding of user flows. What do you like best about Attentive?

The simplicity to configure and setup their APIs in an application and start sending SMS to subscribers right away. Also the integration with known marketing email SaaS like Marigold Engage (ex. Sailthru) that can trigger SMS sending from their flows without developer involvement, with "Journeys".

What do you dislike about Attentive?

For each touchpoint in your application that you need to add an sms subscription form, you need to manually ask support team for a new sign up source unit, so you can breakdown from where subscribers signed up in their UI. Then in that process they will QA the new touchpoint and approve the new sign up source. I'm sure this process can be semi-automated and enhanced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Attentive?

What I like most about Attentive is their intuitive UI. While they have numerous features, it's all laid out in a way that's easy to locate and digest. Our account manager is extremely knowledgeable and supports us through everything. Integrating everything was very simple as well. What do you dislike about Attentive?

During busy promotional periods, scheduled messages had been delayed in the past. However, this had only occurred during BFCM 2024 when everyone else is sending. Deliverability in 2025 improved greatly though. A feature that I wish Attentive could correct is within campaign building: once you decide to A/B test a message, there's no way to revert back to a single campaign message. What do you like best about Attentive?

I have used Attentive throughout my career and every time I do, I am reminded why it is the best app for streamlining customer data, retention and acquisition marketing all-in-one. The interface is so simple and easy to navigate that I'm sure a toddler could use it. I am especially a fan of their SMS Marketing example library to easily reference what other companies are doing well for inspiration. The new AI Pro dashboard is also a favorite to quickly see insights that are priority to action on. What do you dislike about Attentive?

It would be great if the reports and dashboards offered more visual aids rather than just trendlines. I think having the capability to play around with the way the reports show up a bit more would make this app that much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Attentive?

We had high revenue attribution when we began SMS marketing with Attentive especially with cart recovery and flash sales. We're a smaller business and sometimes need to be creative and adaptive with our promotions and we get a lot of engagement on our SMS promotional sales.

What do you dislike about Attentive?

The pricing is on the premium side so you really need to use it frequently but strategically for it to feel worth it.

They charge per message, not just per subscriber so that can add up fast. We wish there were more nuanced automation and triggers like cross-channel actions

What do you like best about Attentive?

I have loved working with Attentive! I have used multiple email marketing platforms before, and this is by far the best. They are very user-friendly, always implementing new features and integrations, and the customer support is the best in the business! I love that we have an Attentive rep who is always helping us improve our program, and I love that they have an incredibly helpful live chat. A lot of things in the email and SMS marketing world are time-sensitive, and the live chat has been incredibly kind and helpful on many occasions. What do you like best about Attentive?

I like the patented opt-in for SMS and different sign-up units, and being able to meet with a rep to set up forms and journeys. We significantly increased our list after implementing those. I also like the build process, it's very easy and the dashboard is clean. I generally like the reporting, and that the price varies depending on how many messages you send (for SMS). What do you dislike about Attentive?

I am skeptical of some of the attributed revenue and click rates in Attentive. I'm not sure if bot clicks are filtered out for email campaigns and they seem drastically higher than Klaviyo. The numbers, when comparing Shopify and Attentive, have seemed slightly inflated at times. Also, I find the segmentation less user-friendly than Klaviyo - you're definitely more limited there. What do you like best about Attentive?

What I like most about Attentive is our user friendly it is to use. Great UI and UX to easily know how to create campaigns and journeys. Ease of implementation is always a PRO. What do you dislike about Attentive?

There aren't many things I dislike about Attentive, but I would say that when you go to preview a campaign or journey, it sometimes looks different what it actually looks like. Another thing I dislike is the dashboard and a lack of details in the reporting. I know it's hard to track things in marketing because there are so many factors that play into it, but I think the reporting and AI feature could be a little better.
